DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS                                 

SHARE SAVINGS ACCOUNTS

Membership with the Mercer County WV Teachers Federal Credit Union requires a minimum balance of $10.00 in a share savings account.  You may also have secondary share/savings accounts under your base account number depending upon your individual needs.  Dividends are declared and paid quarterly.

SHARE DRAFT/CHECKING ACCOUNTS

Your first box of checks are free, after your first box you pay for check printing. Checking accounts do not require a minimum balance and we do not charge per item or monthly service fees.  We do charge if:  you overdraw your account or request a stop payment on any item.   ATM cards are provided with your checking account free of charge. 

VISA DEBIT/ATM CARDS

The Visa Debit card is available when you open your share draft/checking account with the credit union.  The Visa Debit/ATM card may be used anywhere the VISA logo is displayed, including point of sale transactions and ATM withdrawals. We do not charge for point of sale transactions at the present time.  If you use an ATM, you may be charged a fee by the ATM operator and by any national, regional, or local network used in processing your transaction.

CHRISTMAS AND VACATION CLUB ACCOUNTS 

No minimum balance and pay a dividend each quarter.  Christmas Club balances are mailed or transferred to your share draft or savings account each November.  Vacation Club withdrawals may be made at any time.  These accounts do not impose any type of penalty, if more than three (3) withdrawals are made from your Christmas Club in one (1) year, your account will be closed.

At no cost to you, our loans include Life Insurance up to age 70 and Total Disability Insurance to age 60.  Maximum combined loan amounts up to $25,000.00.

Direct Deposit and Payroll Deduction

We accept payroll deduction or direct deposit from any employer or agency who process through the Federal Reserve ACH system. 

For correct routing and account number information, please contact the credit union office during normal business hours.  This will ensure your deposit is not delayed or rejected.

Notary Service

Notary service is provided to our members free of charge.  Please be prepared to show picture id.
